We are proud to announce that the Greek America Foundation has just earned a 2021 Platinum Seal on GuideStar, the world’s largest platform for nonprofit rankings. The platinum seal is the highest rating for a non-profit organization on Guidestar, the leading monitor of non-profit transparency.
“This recognition from the world’s leading monitor of non-profit transparency coincides with our commitment to our donors– that their money is being used for the goals they intended,” noted Gregory Pappas, founder of the Greek America Foundation. “This is a proud moment for us to be the only organization from our community to receive this prestigious recognition.”
Furthermore, Pappas noted that “This would not have been possible without the unending persistence and commitment from the board of directors that we remain true to our commitment of sustainability and transparency while implementing our unique programming.”
GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations, connecting people and organizations with data on 2.7 million current and formerly IRS-recognized nonprofits.
Each year, more than 10 million people, including individual donors, nonprofit leaders, grant-makers, government officials, academic researchers, and the media, use GuideStar data to make intelligent decisions about the non-profit sector, including grant-giving and bequests.
