Just goes to show you that when a company pairs up a great product with a great cause, beautiful things can happen.
When Steve Kriaris decided to donate part of the sales of his renowned Thalia Wine to Project Hope for Greece in the month of May 2014, he made sure all of 2500 bottles sported neck tags with an “I heart GR” pin attached to every one sold throughout more than 100 retail outlets in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
“Customers got to keep the pin and wear it on a daily basis and show their pride for Greece” says Kriaris.
And the silver lining? The company experienced a 30% increase in sales during the month of May, according to Kriaris, who is head of Canada’s Kolonaki Group which owns and distributes Thalia.
Everyone at the Greek America Foundation and Project Hope for Greece thanks Mr. Kriaris for his generous donation and hope this serves as a great example of what anyone with a product or service can to do help our cause—and simultaneously support sustainable and transparent charities in Greece.
Kriaris and his Kolonaki Group raised $3,000 for Project Hope for Greece with this innovative campaign in Ontario.
