Gabby Awards

RECOGNIZING IMPACT

More than a decade after our first Gabby Awards celebration in Chicago in 2009, the tradition continues as our event has grown to become the continent’s premier gathering of individuals who have had the greatest impact on North American society. We value philanthropy and service as an organization and are proud to continue this tradition of honoring Greek America’s Best and Brightest Stars. All proceeds from the Gabby Awards benefit academic and humanitarian programs of the Greek America Foundation, including our Greek America Corps volunteer program and Project Hope for Greece campaign.

CELEBRATE GREECE

The 2020 Gabby Awards are dedicated to Greece. This includes not only the work that we’ve done to support the nation over the years as an organization, but also all that the nation of Greece has shared with the world. Join us as we Celebrate Greece on Friday, May 15 at The Plaza Hotel and get ready for some surprises along the way!

SUPPORT
OUR EFFORTS

For more than 15 years, the Greek America Foundation has transformed the lives of thousands of people who have been impacted by our programs. Help us continue the legacy and support the fine work we do here at home, as well as in Greece, by joining us at the 2020 Gabby Awards in New York City.

FOLLOW
OUR UPDATES

We are planning a magical weekend in New York City, which will include the Gabby Awards and After Party — the community’s premier black tie gala. The weekend will also include a separate reception where we will honor Greek America’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2020 and other activities. Join our email list and follow our regular announcements on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

THE HISTORIC
PLAZA HOTEL

The Awards ceremony will take place on Friday, May 15 in the Terrace Room of the iconic Plaza Hotel — the most historic hotel in Manhattan and perhaps the entire nation. The After Party will follow upstairs in the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza — once the stage for the likes of The Beatles and Prince — soon to be transformed into a traditional, old-school rebetiko haunt of yesteryear where we will Celebrate Greece and welcome our guests for an unforgettable After Party featuring a complete dinner, open bar and music and dancing. Highly discounted rooms will be available for our ticket holders. Click here to make reservations.

Glykeria

GLYKERIA
A LIVING LEGEND

We are proud to feature Glykeria, Greece’s biggest-selling female music artist, as our entertainment at the official After Party. Together with her complete orchestra from Greece, Glykeria will grace the historic stage at the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel where some of the world’s greatest entertainers have performed. Known globally to millions of adoring fans as “the Voice of Greece,” Glykeria is the only Greek singer with a legendary international career in nations like Israel and Turkey.

RECOGNIZING
FORTY UNDER 40

For the first time, we will celebrate the tremendous talents and success of our community’s young leaders during the same weekend as the Gabby Awards. The awards reception for Greek America’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2020 will be held on Saturday, May 16 (Location TBA) and will honor those young people, 40 years old or younger, who have excelled professionally and philanthropically. Nominations are still open!
