Following a pandemic hiatus that forced the postponement of our signature fundraising event, we are proud to announce that the Gabby Awards will take place on Friday, June 3, 2022, in New York City.
A festive weekend is being planned to welcome hundreds of friends and supporters of the Greek America Foundation, with the main event— our celebration of Greek America’s Best and Brightest Stars— taking place in the historic Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel on Central Park South.
Of course, no Gabby Awards would be complete without an After Party and we’re planning a big one. Headlining our celebration will be the biggest name in Greek music— Anna Vissi, who will perform at Melrose Ballroom in Astoria with her complete orchestra from Greece.
This year, we’re excited to celebrate GREEK SUMMER with a special theme designed by one of Greece’s most well-known artists, Cacao Rocks, whose art has been featured on the covers of the New York Times and National Geographic Traveller and exhibited in many galleries, public spaces and institutions throughout Europe and the United States. The Gabby Awards, since their inception, have been a celebration of Greek America’s Best and Brightest Stars. Past honorees have included some of North America’s most successful executives, creatives, athletes, artists, scientists and other leaders in their fields, all of whom have also expressed their desire to make the world around them a better place through their philanthropic activities.
In keeping with the tradition of recognizing the very best and brightest, we’re proud to introduce our 2022 honorees, who will be present to receive their awards on Friday, June 3, at The Plaza.
