Celebrate your birthday by inviting friends and family to support the Greek America Foundation. Together, your gifts help sustain our work in education, culture and service.
You create your fundraiser on GoFundMe or Facebook, then share its link with your friends. This page is your guide to getting started.
Start with GoFundMe
- Open our nonprofit page. Visit the Foundation on GoFundMe. It appears under our full name: Greek America Cultural and Educational Foundation, Inc.
- Choose Birthday. Look for the Birthday option under the occasions section, then sign in or create your GoFundMe account when prompted.
- Make it yours. Review the suggested fundraiser, add your birthday message and photo, and adjust the goal if you wish. You can use the message below.
- Review and publish. Check that our Foundation is the selected nonprofit, review your sharing preferences and follow the prompts to complete your fundraiser.
- Share your link. Invite friends through Facebook, Instagram, email or text. Thank them as donations come in.
Prefer Facebook?
Facebook fundraising is available only in certain countries and accounts. If the creation option is available to you:
- Open our Facebook fundraising link and sign in.
- Choose to create a nonprofit fundraiser. Confirm that Greek America Foundation is the selected nonprofit.
- Add your details. Choose a goal and end date, add a photo and tell friends why you are celebrating this way.
- Review, publish and share. Follow Facebook’s prompts, then invite friends to support your fundraiser.
If you land on a general fundraising page or cannot find the creation option or our Foundation, use the GoFundMe option above. Platform availability and button labels can vary.
A birthday message you can copy
This birthday, I’m inviting friends and family to join me in supporting the Greek America Foundation. Your gift helps sustain work that brings people together through education, culture and service. Any amount would mean so much to me. Thank you for making my birthday part of something bigger!
Help friends find your fundraiser
Copy your fundraiser’s link into a Facebook post, an email or a text message. On Instagram, add it to your profile or use a Link sticker in a Story. Include a personal photo and a few words about why this cause matters to you.
