An unforgettable evening with the Acropolis as our backdrop in support of the Greek America Foundation
We are honored to invite you to the first-ever fundraising dinner of the Greek America Foundation in Athens, a landmark evening that brings together two of the world’s most accomplished chefs—Cat Cora and Iosif Sykianakis—for an exclusive culinary collaboration.
On Monday, October 13, 2025 at 8:00 PM, at the stunning Olympias Rooftop (Athinas 57, Athens) we will host this extraordinary event, thanks to the generosity and support of both chefs, as well as the venue, which is generously donating its space so that every euro raised can support the cause.
Guests will be welcomed by Gregory C. Pappas, founder and chairman of the Greek America Foundation, alongside a local host committee of Achilleas Voutsinas, Steve Tsaropoulos, and Alexis Galanopoulos.
This special evening marks a homecoming for Chef Cat Cora, a world-renowned chef, television personality, author, and philanthropist whose roots trace back to Greece. She made history as the first female Iron Chef and the first woman inducted into the American Culinary Federation’s Culinary Hall of Fame. Cora trained at the Culinary Institute of America and refined her craft in Michelin-starred kitchens in France. Over her career, she has opened more than 18 restaurants worldwide, authored best-selling books, and become a global advocate for health, wellness, and hunger relief.
Joining her is Iosif Sykianakis, one of Greece’s most sought-after chefs and culinary consultants. With more than two decades of experience across Greece, Switzerland, the United States, and beyond, he has trained in world-renowned Michelin-starred kitchens, including Le Taillevent and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Paris. From Mykonos and Antiparos to New York City and beyond, Sykianakis has built a reputation for blending Mediterranean authenticity with refined European technique—earning acclaim at luxury destinations and as a familiar face on Greek television.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Greek America Corps volunteer program, which brings young people from North America to Greece each summer to serve in orphanages, refugee shelters, and community projects supporting vulnerable population groups in Athens, Thessaloniki, Chios and Crete. This transformative initiative not only offers direct aid but also inspires a new generation of engaged global citizens.
This evening is more than a dinner—it is a celebration of heritage, philanthropy, and the power of food to unite people for a greater purpose.
