This Thanksgiving, the Greek America Foundation continues a beloved tradition — Project Philotimo — a heartfelt initiative led by pre-teens from our community who come together to prepare and deliver meals to those in need across New York City.
This year we’re proud to have the support of Stathis Antonakopoulos and Carnegie Diner.
Every year, our young volunteers gather to cook, package, and hand-deliver warm Thanksgiving meals to shelters and organizations serving vulnerable neighbors. This act of kindness not only fills stomachs but also nurtures hearts — teaching our children that compassion and philotimo are meant to be lived, not just spoken about.
This year, our goal is to provide freshly prepared Thanksgiving meals, lovingly assembled by our pre-teens from the kitchen of Carnegie Diner in New York City.
Each meal costs $20 to prepare and deliver.
Every donation — no matter the size — helps us reach our goal.

Your generosity will ensure that hundreds of people in need across New York City experience the warmth of a home-cooked meal — and the deeper message that they are not forgotten.
Together, we can show that philotimo still shines bright in Greek America.
Because nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something.
