Agamemnon Polyzois, an Athens native and founder of the online Greek marketplace Olive Grove Market, has generously joined Team Greek America with plans to run a winter marathon in Honolulu, Hawaii.
During the weekend of December 10-12, 2021, Agamemnon will compete in the Honolulu Marathon to raise funds for the Greek America Foundation’s Project Hope for Greece #ChildrenOfGreece campaign.
His goal is to raise $1,000, with proceeds to benefit the Eliza Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children, one of our charity partners for the #ChildrenOfGreece campaign.
Eliza is a non-profit which provides protection and care for children who have suffered or run the risk of suffering abuse or neglect. Eliza’s programs are designed in cooperation with highly prestigious institutions in Greece and abroad that possess the necessary knowledge and experience to act effectively and transform the lives of vulnerable children by altering adults’ stance; training professionals who work with children as well as teachers, physicians, nurses and police officers; and creating hospital units for the recognition and management of cases of suspected abuse. For more information about Eliza, visit their website.
