Two of Greece’s most iconic lifestyle brands are among the many generous gift bag sponsors for the 2022 Gabby Awards in New York City.
Our past Gabby Awards gift bags have included a wide variety of curated products and items showcasing the best Greek and Greek-inspired brands. This year’s are no different.
After our star-studded dinner and awards ceremony on Friday, June 3 at The Plaza Hotel, each guest will receive a stunning denim bag made by KORRES with 100% recycled materials. KORRES has also included a special Grecian Glow Skincare Rituals set with various beauty products inside.
Accompanying the KORRES products is a one-of-a-kind towel made by Sun of a Beach, a beach towel and accessories company whose products are completely handmade and made in Greece. The towel features the special artwork made by acclaimed Athens-based artist Cacao Rocks exclusively for the 2022 Gabbys.

Both KORRES and Sun of a Beach have been longtime supporters of the Greek America Foundation and have previously contributed gift bag items for the Gabby Awards.
Built on a library of over 3,000 herbal remedies, KORRES formulas are born from a deep knowledge of homeopathy and biological research.
At eight years old, in 1973, co-founder Giorgos Korres, started playing with ingredients behind his mother’s pharmacy counter. Giorgos started working at Greece’s oldest homeopathic pharmacy, while studying at the Pharmacy School of the University of Athens. He took over the pharmacy in 1992 and within the next five years set up a homeopathic remedy production lab. During this time, Giorgos developed a deep understanding of natural ingredients and their application.
Giorgos created KORRES Natural Products with a goal of producing safe & clinically effective natural skincare. Giorgos continues to run the company alongside co-founder Lena Philippou.
The idea of Sun of a Beach was conceived by co-founders Melina Pispa and Elli Rountou in the summer of 2011 during sunbathing in Mykonos.
Ιt was then when they realized that beach towels took up the most “real estate” on beaches everywhere and decided to look at/approach the quintessential summer item from a fresh angle. The seed was planted and in June 2012, the Sun of a Beach brand was brought into the world.
The first Sun of a Beach towel was created and an important promise was given — that all products were to be handmade and locally produced in Greece.
