The Greek America Foundation and its newly launched Gen G Committee are proud to announce that nominations are now open for the first-ever Teen Gabby Awards.
Gen G— a dynamic team of teens from throughout the nation whose families are involved and support the Greek America Foundation are launching the Teen Gabby Awards, which will honor two outstanding teenagers of Greek descent who embody the values of excellence and philanthropy.
These awards will not only recognize their achievements in the classroom, on an athletic field or other pursuits, but also their compassion, service, and commitment to making the world a better place.
The awards are organized by the foundation’s Gen G Committee— short for Generation Greek— a clever nod to Gen Z, the generation born in the late 1990s and early 2000s that grew up with smartphones, social media, and global connectivity in their back pockets.
Just like Gen Z is reshaping culture, Gen G is redefining what it means to be a young North American with Greek heritage in today’s world— by building community, creating meaningful programs, and amplifying youth voices.
Award Criteria
Two winners will be selected based on two core ideals. We’re looking for those young people who pursue and achieve excellence in their daily lives, including in academics, sports, the arts, leadership, or any personal or entrepreneurial pursuits. Simultaneously, philanthropy — demonstrated involvement in charitable efforts, volunteer work, or service to others is equally as important.
The Gen G Committee is looking for leaders, doers, and innovators—young people who strive for success while also showing heart, empathy, and action.
Who Can Be Nominated?
- Teenagers of Greek descent between the ages of 13 and 19 in the year 2025
