A Thanksgiving humanity project spontaneously organized by Andreas Koutsoudakis in memory of his father continued for a third straight year and is now becoming an integral part of the Greek America Foundation’s efforts to instill humanity and philanthropy in pre-teens and young adults.
The family of Koutsoudakis, whose late father was a well-known restaurant owner and philanthropist in the Tribeca neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, gathered alongside members of the Perperides family at Andrew’s Diner in Staten Island the day before Thanksgiving. But this wasn’t just any gathering – the group was there to prepare and deliver more than 100 meals to Project Hospitality, a local neighborhood shelter.
The project was sponsored through generous donations from our supporters and a grant from KI Legal, Andreas’ law firm. This is the second consecutive year that the Greek America Foundation has supported the initiative.
“Since our first effort at the Bowery Mission a few years ago, my girls look forward to doing this every year,” said Roda Perperides, mother of Ourania and Evangelia, who took part in the food preparation program.

Thanks to the dedication of Andreas Koutsoudakis, partner at KI Legal, and his daughters Zoe and Vanna, this program has become an annual tradition that instills values of philanthropy and humanity in young children and teaches them the importance of serving less fortunate individuals.
