The Greek America Foundation is proud to announce that renowned chef, restaurateur and television personality Cat Cora and acclaimed philanthropist, entrepreneur, and wellness advocate Danialle Karmanos will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Gabby Awards, taking place on Saturday, June 7 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is the foundation’s highest honor, reserved for individuals whose unwavering commitment and generosity have profoundly shaped the organization’s mission to promote Greek heritage, culture, and philanthropic values across North America and beyond.
Fittingly, Cat and Danialle’s paths first crossed at a Greek America Foundation event in Chicago in 2010. Both were keynote speakers at our National Innovation Conference—leaders in their respective fields who shared a common purpose: to use their platforms for impact and advocacy.
Cat Cora, the first-ever female Iron Chef and the first woman inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame, is not only a culinary icon but also a passionate advocate for Greek culture. Through her appearances, advocacy, and charitable work, she has consistently uplifted the foundation’s mission—bringing global attention to our efforts and using her voice to inspire others to give back, embrace their heritage, and lead with compassion.
Danialle Karmanos is a powerhouse of purpose—an award-winning philanthropist, wellness champion, and fierce advocate for children and underserved communities. Her ongoing support of our charitable and cultural initiatives has expanded our impact in tangible ways, from helping fund crucial humanitarian efforts in Greece to fostering leadership and education programs for youth. Her influence has elevated not just our reach, but the very spirit of what we aim to do.
“Cat and Danialle exemplify the values at the heart of our mission,” said Gregory Pappas, Founder and President of the Greek America Foundation. “They have stood by us not only with their resources, but with their time, ideas, and belief in what we do. Their generosity and dedication have shaped our organization’s legacy and continue to inspire our community.”
